the last of my btech group just dropped out. So my Btech gameverse is dead. Which means I can no longer claim the title of Khan. But I still do command a galaxy. Gameverse or not. I formed this command and I am keeping it. So I guess I am just a galaxy commander now.
What really bites. Is that I have no one to play Btech with now.

All of you quit your whinning.... GO OUT AND RECRUIT. Yeah if you live in BFE that may be difficult. At 30+ I was still able to find players near my age group. Cons are a great place to meet people. Also trolling game stores works, can be hard as the no lifers hang there the most but you can find if you try. I know I will move again in my life and will have to do it again. Just take the time and get out there.

To tell you the truth I have never really been attracted to the idea of recruiting the game-store types. My perception always seem to run along the lines of Alexanders (can't associate with those game store guys, the stigma . . .). Maybe I just happen to meet the weird people, but those I meet in game stores usually remind me of the characters in the Dead Alewives D&D skit.

I have run into the same problem. Most the people I meet at game stores are power players, game freaks (The kind that think of only the game. and nothing else), or just plain weird

Gentleman you missed the point, you have to cull through the chaff to find some good ones. I have started games found a good one or two and killed the game. Start process over again. You have to search through te lossers and find some players. Ever thought that maybe some of the people you sneer at are just poor trapped players looking for a better game? Took me 6 months when I got to Detroit to find a decent group. When played pretty regular for time until the birth of my son. But we still get together every so often and hack it out.
AWAD-Have done that trick in 3 different cities
