==Overview:==
The Nerevus was built on a contract for AFFC prior to the start of the Civil War. The head of the AFFC mech building program wanted to make a name for himself before he retired. So he contacted Dos Santos Aeronautic Combine, a company his family owned stock in, and sent them a very sercet set of blue prints for a mech that was as fast current medium mechs and pack a health punch from it's weapons.
The blue prints were just off the R&D board and seeing that they had been given a gift that could reap them millions in profits, the head ofDos Santos Aeronautic Combine ordered the production to begin of the mech, that had been named the Nerevus.
To keep things from becoming a scandal. The General had the committe find tons of faults with the in house desgin, and then had them approve a contract to build the same mech they had just said was a waste of money. As odd as this sounds no one suppected a thing and when the bidding and testing of prototypes began, Dos Santos's entry was picked by the General and the committe with very little comparison to the other mechs submitted.
Thus with the awarding of the contract in November of 3055 and the first company of mechs do to reach AFFC units in late 3058, the General and Dos Santos had made a killing on the profits.
==Capabilities:==
The Nerevus, is a decent medium close in fighter. While not what it was original built for it did have this as one of it's shinning capabilites.
It's weapon mix is a powerful laser and missile combine punch that allows it some flexibilty and reach for it's size.
Originally it had only the BlazeFire Extended Range Large Laser on it and two BlazeFire Mediums, but as time went along during the building of the mech, BlazeFire convinced Dos Santos to try out their new Extended Range Mediums, not worried about the cost since the AFFC had already agreed to a margin of changes to keep the cost down and to keep the mech current with military technology changes.
These weapons allow the Nerevus to hold enemy mechs at bay while it manuevers to gain the advantage in postion.
The quad set of Surefire Streak 4 gives the mech tremendous close range firepower. These weapons cover the closer in ranges and ensure that what ever gets up close pays a price for that.
==Battle History:==
Currently the Nerevus is assgined to units along the Outworld Alliance borders and has seen some fighting against pirate raids.
==Variants:==
The Nerevus has several variants, starting with the original that has standard medium lasers instead of extented range ones.
One other variant drops all of the Streak 4s for a two Streak 6 and ammo a couple of heat sinks.

I love it! Seriously, this is probaly one of the best (if not the) best design I've seen in a while! Fast, jump-capable, with a high weapons load thats scaled to range and utterly devastating it short range. Brilliant.
