==Overview:==
Although the Atlas was the most feared mech
on the BattleField, many engineers saw through
the disquise and realized that would be possible
to make a counter design, one that could duel
the Atlas and defeat it.

Towards the end of the Star League many Houses
began projects to defeat the Atlas, and restore a
measure of pride to their militaries. House Davion
had created the Alexander, named for the Czar
who fought with Nappolean, and defeated him.
The Alexander was meant to do the same thing.

However, many had thought the Alexander lost
to time.

Recently, an archeological dig in the Periphery
border zone have unearthed what might be
the last two Alexander mechs remaining in the
Inner Sphere. Dubbed Nicholas and
Alexandra, these two machines are being
studdied for vital technical information that has
been lost over time.

==Capabilities:==
The Alexander is a brutal design. Heavy armor,
good long range weapons packet, which can
deliver devestatingly accurate damage. This is
accomplished through the use of two large
lasers, one AC/10, and one LRM 15 system.

These highly precise weapons are mounted
in carefully constructed moldings. At first the
point of these moldings were lost on the Fed
Suns engineers that worked on the machine,
but later analysis indicates that they might be
used for modular housings, making it easier
to replace damaged components during battle.
Other mechs were rumored to mount such
devices, but the technology seems strange to
the Fed Suns scientists dispatched to study
the two mechs.

The strength of the Alexander is obvious. Strong
short range fire power, coupled with strong long
range fire power, and the heat sinks to use it.
The powerful armor keeps the unit protected
when fighting, allowing to absorb withering hails
of fire and then return the same over and over
again, tearing through one foe after another.

The one weakness of the design is that almost
every component on it has been lost to the
Inner Sphere as a whole! This write up is the
best approximation of what the Fed Suns could
reconstruct. As the Alexander BattleMechs
were not well stored when placed into the
abandoned storage facility, not to mention some
marks seem to indicate battle damage before
being retired, it is hard to determine what the
unit used for equipment.

However, the engineers have retrofitted the
most modern equivalent they can find to fit the
roles of the old equipment. The machine still
remains deadly and it is hoped that Fed Suns
engineers will figure out a way to reproduce it,
making it more common in the Fed Suns
military.
