Well, in this discussion it will be probably a 'Mech that nobody would touch even with a 10 ft pole under normal circumstances, but you drive it anyway because it suits your character. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

You wouldn't play a Wraith or a Phoenix Hawk? _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

I would, but those are standard 'Mechs you'd pick, where FS9-K is probably not a thing you'd reach for. I already had an opportunity to get a Jenner, but Zippi is our ward for two generations and that's not a thing you throw away. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

So, it's more of a "this is what I love, but since I can't have that, I'll settle for this" type of a thing. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

So an Urbie would be fine roleplaying mech. _________________ Sir Henry

It's more of an excuse for the GM to give you a lousy 'Mech and make you stick with it _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Sorry about the delayed response. But a mech that is less than ideal in the table top game but is much better as a campaign mech. Something that has some quirks that make it fun to play.
I've been playing a Raven in a online campaign but will probably loose it here soon (It belongs to the company we were employed by, but they abandoned us on planet) and it needs a massive refit, anyway.
I'm hoping to pick up a Shadowhawk (a personal favorite) but am curious what others have really enjoyed playing in a mechwarrior campaign. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". In the 3025 era that WTH-1 was a great medium support mech... _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Then why do so many people call it "Whitworthless"? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Because too many people only consider a mech good if it can duel. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Love the the Whitworth. It was always a mech that never got a lot of love. But that is what I am getting at. Something that you like because of the quirks. I personally love the Stinger. Always have and I always will. But I would not want to take it on the battlefield. As a backwoods scout, sign me up. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Right, because as a backwoods scout, you aren't exactly going up again front-line units. Maybe some bandit raids, some local unrest, that kind of stuff. But yeah, the whole role-playing aspect to units has been lost on people. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
