It was random selection with CO assignment.

And send me your characters name and sex or you'll get a random one.

Just an update. I am refreshing my knowledge of CampOps and getting everything set to move forward. We only have two players to finish character creation with one of them already talking with me about the delay. You unit, per the CO's decisions, is now up to full staffing with ongoing hiring efforts on technician staff. And once I have finished a few things, the CO and I will be purchasing your initial supplies and parts. So things are moving forward.

Notice of a rule change.

Contrary to CampOps, Astechs will all be considered Green xp level instead of the xp level of the tech they are assigned too. Per CampOps, every time I add a Tech I am supposed to add 6 Astechs of matching xp. Do to how the system handles it, I add 1 Tech and 6 Astech and then have to manually edit all 6 Astechs to match.

So for simplicity, Astechs are stuck at Green xp and are paid 400 credits per pay cycle.

In addition, I am going to let MekHQ randomly determine the xp levels for newly hired non-player personnel under most circumstances.

I'll instantly become infuriated with this when one of them drops a wrench and ruins an expensive piece of my equipment. Smile

Good thing they never roll checks. Only the tech does. Of course, it does flow down hill so.....

Would it be possible to get a list of everyone's character names and a brief bit on their backgrounds? Maybe in a new thread?

I'm thinking that after turn one, players will have 2 days to send me their order during a phase. After that time, their LCO will have 24 hrs to send me an order or they will just stand still.

Sounds like a good way to keep things moving. If a trooper "hesitates", a bark from the LT can get them moving, so to speak.

I like the idea. Will definitely keep things moving and not leave units without moving or firing.
