Unfortunately the only place where Battletech players gather decided they were going to play only Alpha Strike, and I do not like the over simplified system. To me Alpha Strike is to Battletech what the card game "Go Fish" is to Poker. |
I've yet to try Alpha Strike, though I know I will. I'm just waiting for Horhiro to run it at one of the cons we attend. He likes to run non-normal stuff. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I recall you playing "the Race" at TotalCon a couple years ago...although it could have been 5, those things all run together for me now. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Great idea! Total con 2019. I'll get Firebee to bring his collection and I'll bring mine. An entire weekend of alpha strike planetary assault on Luthien. 500 mechs vs 500 mechs! I like it! Sooooo, I need 1000 mechsheets.... _________________ "I have lived my life trying to be a virtuous man. The Dragon admires tenacity, and the code of the samurai upholds it as well." -Minobu Tetsuhara

These are Alpha Strike sheets. I don't print those currently, but it's on the list. And it's also 6 'Mechs per sheet. So not as bad as it sounds, though still a lot of sheets! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I think you'd do better with Battleforce, or something like that. Alpha Strike handles companies well, but this might be a bit too much for it. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

In the last 5 years I have played three times, this has more to do with the Army and it's wanting me at work vs my time as well as it's hard to find players, since most folks are willing to shell money to 40K then BT. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato
