Comment: My favorite book of the trilogy but the idea of mechwarriors who can't be targeted or detected on sensors is just too weird. It might have been acceptable if there was ever an detailed explanation but as it is I was left wondering if Stackpole had gone temporarily insane. The rest of the book was great.

Comment: The first Battletech novel I ever read. I enjoyed seeing how the Grey Death legion got started and it was fun to read a lower ranked character's story even if he became more imortant later on.

Comment: My all-time favorite Battletech novel. It introduced my favorite Battletech character and showed a good view of how the war started from the common people's perspective. The only minor probelm is that it should have been harder for Fisk to get the security personal to join his bomb plot . The odds of no one he approached informing Colonel Blucher of his plans are very low and Fisk has to know that if he gets caught he'll be dead before his daddy can run to Kathrine for help.
